Apple made it official. The iPhone 4 will be available by friday July 30 in Canada plus 16 other countries:
Beginning this Friday, customers can purchase iPhone 4 in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. iPhone 4 will be available for purchase through Apple’s retail and online stores and Apple® Authorized Resellers.
We’ll try to have details of the plans from Rogers, Bell and Telus as soon as it’s out.

I just called Rogers and the sales person confirmed that Rogers will have the iPhone available for Friday! I talked to 2 different people during my conversation, the first one confirmed while the second one asked me “how do you know the release was going to be Friday? We don’t even know that yet”. She said that Rogers hasn’t even mentioned anything to their own staff yet.
I guess the same thing happened on previous launches, the staff didn’t find out until the day before the launch.
Anyone know where the best place will be to get the new iPhone in Calgary on Friday?
